Bunnies on the Run

Rings-grouped >> When in doubt, look to the bunny.  That's Katie Hillier's thinking behind her ever-growing accessories and jewellery namesake line.  Hillier doesn't need any introduction and her portfolio certainly doesn't, having consulted/designed for Mulberry, Loewe, Luella and she's probably most well-known for her accessories designs for Marc by Marc Jacobs.  I, along with everyone else welcomed Hillier striking out on her own with her 18-carat gold animal paper-clip pendant designs and in colette during Paris Fashion Week, I went to get the next fix of Hillier's "luxury with a wink" when I saw the A/W 11 collection.  There's definitely a lot of Bunny Love going on and in keeping with the sort of love-ins that British labels such as Luella and Mulberry and the likes of Katie Grand like to have with cute pets and Animals of Farthing Wood creatures, coach handbags on sale, we have here bunnies adorning headbands,Nike Air Max 2011 Mens, barettes and bobbles as well as fine jewellery.  The stacking rings to the right are the sort that make you go "Awwwwww...." whilst at the same time,Gucci Shoulder Bags, having a serious intent with it being 18-carat gold and studded with diamonds and all.

Then we have other creatures joining the bunnies - birds, hedgehogs, tortoise, squirrels and bumble bees make their way in with these paperclip designs.  This is fine jewellery I can get to grips with.  Somehow the fear factor over having 18 carat gold and pave diamonds hanging around your neck or on your finger (yes, I'm forever scared about getting necklaces yanked off me... because I have victim-face written all over me and have been mugged three times...) when there are garden creatures involved.
